About Me

I am a polar climate scientist with broad-ranging interests in ice and climate. The Arctic and Antarctic regions are changing rapidly. My research aims to develop understanding of the fundamental physics driving interactions between ice and climate in these regions. I work towards improved climate projections for the polar regions, and aspire to better understand the global climate and social impacts of polar climate change.

Since autumn 2024, I am a Junior Research Group Leader at the Alfred Wegener Institute in the Climate Dynamics section. My group, `Southern Ocean & Antarctic Sea ice Evolution' (SO-ASE), is funded by the Helmholtz Young Investigator program. Previously I was an Associate Research Scientist at NASA Goddard Institute for Space Studies and Columbia University, a postdoc at the University of Washington, and PhD student at NIWA and Victoria University of Wellington in New Zealand. My CV is available here.
